Hello.
I was born and raised in a small town in northern Minnesota. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hampshire College in Amherst Massachusetts in 1993 and lived in Hawaii for four years before moving to Seattle in 1997.
I began doing investigation work in 2000 as an intern at The Defender Association (TDA) in Seattle. I interned with TDA for six months before being hired as a staff investigator. During that time I worked on a variety of criminal cases, including felony, misdemeanor and juvenile. In 2004 I left TDA to establish my own investigation firm.
Currently, I am a licensed private investigator and owner of my own business, Sanderson Investigations. As a criminal defense investigator, I have worked on hundreds of criminal cases and interviewed many hundreds of witnesses. I have also testified in municipal, state, and federal courts more than two dozen times.
I've attended capital case training seminars in Washington, California and Louisiana and have worked on several capital cases, both trial and post conviction level, in state and federal courts. I've worked on state and federal capital cases in California, Washington, Idaho and Montana.
Currently, I am a member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL), the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the Washington Association of Legal Investigators (WALI) and the Washington Defender Association (WDA). I am also a notary public.
I currently accept cases from attorneys and not from the general public.
